Pakistan Gold Prices Drop Again as Silver Rates Rise
The price of gold in Pakistan dropped for the second consecutive day on August 15, while silver prices rose.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the rate of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs500, reaching Rs459,936. This decline was also seen in 10 grams of 24-karat gold, which dropped by Rs429 to settle at Rs394,320.
The price of 22-karat gold saw a drop of Rs393, with the new rate being Rs361,473 for 10 grams. The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan as international gold prices also fell by $5, reaching $4,375 per ounce.
However, silver prices in Pakistan moved in the opposite direction, increasing by Rs13 to reach Rs6,949 for a 24-karat bar. Similarly, 10 grams of silver saw an increase of Rs11 to Rs5,957.
