Pakistan Gold Prices Plummet Amid Global Market Weakness
Gold prices in Pakistan have plummeted by Rs4,600 per tola due to weakening global market conditions. The price of gold fell to settle at Rs427,436, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The decline is a continuation of the downward trend seen in the international market, where gold prices have dropped by $46 to $4,050 per ounce. This weakness in the global bullion market has had a ripple effect on Pakistan's local market.
Silver prices also followed suit, with the price per tola falling by Rs61 to Rs6,309. Market analysts expect volatility to continue as investors weigh geopolitical tensions against expectations for global interest rates.
