Pakistan Gold Prices Plummet Amid International Spot Rate Drop
A significant drop in international spot gold rates has led to a major price correction in local gold rates in Pakistan. On August 19, 2026, the price of 24-karat gold plummeted by Rs 3,700 per tola, bringing the local trading rate to Rs 458,236.
The price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold also dropped by Rs 3,172 to close at Rs 392,862. This change reflects the impact of global macroeconomic shifts and geopolitical developments in the Gulf region on domestic market rates.
Silver prices also mirrored this weak momentum, with local 24K silver decreasing by Rs 186 per tola to set the new price at Rs 6,800 per tola.
