Pakistan Gold Prices Plummet by Rs4,300 per Tola Amid Dollar Strength
On July 28, 2026, gold prices in Pakistan took a hit, dropping by Rs4,300 per tola. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 24-karat gold was being sold at Rs427,436 per tola, down from its previous price of Rs431,736. This represents a decline of -1.5% in just one month.
The prices for other types of gold also saw a decrease. Twenty-two-karat gold was quoted lower at Rs335,931 per 10-gram, while silver prices fell by Rs174 per tola and Rs149 per 10-gram.
On the global stage, spot gold traded near $4,051 an ounce, down $21 or 0.52% from the previous session. A stronger dollar weighed on bullion, with investors eagerly awaiting the Federal Reserve's upcoming policy decision for direction on interest rates.
