Gold prices in Pakistan have seen consecutive gains, rising for a second day on Friday. The price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs3,900 per tola to Rs469,136, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers' Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This latest increase follows Thursday's jump of Rs11,200 per tola.

The domestic gold price has now surpassed its level before Wednesday's steep decline. The recent fluctuation is linked to international market trends, where spot gold was trading at around $4,475 per ounce on Friday.

The US labour market has become a key driver of gold prices as investors shift their focus towards the non-farm payrolls report due on Friday. Gold tends to come under pressure when expectations of higher interest rates push up bond yields and strengthen the US dollar.
