The gold market in Pakistan experienced a significant surge on August 6, 2026. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs 11,300 to settle at Rs 449,236.

The increase in global prices also contributed to this surge, with international spot gold climbing by US$113 to reach US$4,268 per ounce. This sharp jump in domestic rates follows a major rally in international bullion markets.

Silver prices also registered modest gains, with the price of silver per tola increasing by Rs 35 to Rs 6,659. The association confirmed that the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 9,688 to Rs 385,147.
