Pakistan Gold Prices Soar Amid Global Bullion Market Gains
Gold prices have continued their upward trend in Pakistan, with significant gains recorded on Saturday. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, gold prices increased by Rs2,200 to reach Rs456,536 per tola. The price of 10 grams also rose by Rs1,887, settling at Rs391,406.
The association attributed these gains to a positive close in the global bullion market, where prices settled at $4,341 per ounce for gold and $63.47 per ounce for silver. However, domestic silver prices dropped by Rs113 and Rs97 to Rs6,826 per tola and Rs5,852 per 10 grams respectively.
The association noted that the open market may sell gold and silver at different prices than those set by the association, which claims that the bullion value is based on interbank exchange rates. The association's announcement serves as a benchmark for local gold and silver prices in Pakistan.
