Pakistan Gold Prices Soar Rs2,200 on International Rate Hike

Gold prices in Pakistan rose significantly on Saturday, following an increase in international gold rates. The price of 24-carat gold surged to Rs456,536 per tola, while the price of 10-gram gold went up by Rs1,887 to Rs391,406.

The increase in gold prices is attributed to a rise of $22 in international gold rates, which now stand at $4,341 per ounce. According to bullion dealers, gold prices in Pakistan are typically adjusted with a premium of around $20 per ounce over international rates, reflecting exchange rate movements, import costs and domestic market conditions.

On the other hand, silver prices decreased by Rs113 to Rs6,826 per tola, while the price of 10-gram silver also dropped by Rs97 to Rs5,852.
