Pakistan Govt Committed to Ensuring Stable Prices, Adequate Wheat Supply
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has assured the government's commitment to supporting provinces in ensuring stable prices and adequate supply of essential commodities, including wheat.
Dar chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee on the import of wheat and directed officials to undertake the process with full transparency and coordination with all provinces.
The DPM/FM took stock of the requirements for wheat imports, which have been communicated by all provinces. The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) was tasked with initiating preparations for importing one million metric tons of wheat.
