Pakistan Raises Petrol Price by Rs3.81, Diesel by Rs3.59 Until August 24
The federal government of Pakistan has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel by Rs3.81 and Rs3.59 per litre, respectively, until August 24.
The new prices, which were announced on Thursday, make petrol cost Rs341.59 per litre and high-speed diesel Rs368.28 per litre.
Additionally, the price of kerosene oil was increased by Rs2.65 per litre, taking its price to Rs303.50 per litre under the revised framework approved by the federal cabinet.
The government introduced a new pricing mechanism that will publish updated fuel prices on its website daily to improve transparency and allow consumers to benefit more quickly from changes in international oil markets.
