Pakistan Seeks Emergency LNG Supplies Amid Middle East Disruptions
Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) has put out a tender for one spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo to be delivered from September 4 to 8.
The state-owned company is seeking bids from international suppliers, with the deadline for submission set at Tuesday. Bids will also be opened on the same day.
Pakistan has been relying more heavily on spot LNG purchases due to disruptions in regular supplies from the Middle East.
The additional spot market buys are aimed at keeping gas available for power plants and meeting demand from consumers, but these purchases typically come at a higher cost than long-term contracts.
