Pakistan Seeks Increased Investment from Saudi Companies

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has urged Saudi-based companies to invest more in Pakistan, particularly in sectors like blockchain and technology. He made this call during a meeting with Deutsche Bank's Middle East and Africa Regional CEO Jamal Al Kishi in London.

Aurangzeb highlighted opportunities for international and regional investors to participate in Pakistan's economy and expressed his desire to attract Saudi-based multinational companies to areas including infrastructure, oil and gas, utilities, mining, technology, and blockchain. He also emphasized the need to expand access to different sources of external financing through ongoing economic reforms.

Al Kishi reaffirmed Deutsche Bank's commitment to Pakistan and expressed interest in expanding its corporate and investment banking services in the country. He also expressed a desire to increase the bank's exposure to Pakistan and support stronger business and investment links between the two countries, particularly with Saudi Arabia.
