Pakistan's Gold Prices Soar Rs4,000 Amid Global Bullion Rally
Gold prices in Pakistan surged by Rs4,000 per tola on July 26, tracking a sharp rise in international bullion markets. The price of 24-karat gold reached Rs431,736 per tola, up from Rs427,736 in the previous trading session.
The increase in global gold prices provided strong support to Pakistan's bullion market, with local rates closely following international trends and movements in the rupee-dollar exchange rate.
Analysts noted that expectations regarding future interest rate decisions by major central banks also remained a key driver of international gold prices. Lower interest rate expectations generally support bullion by reducing the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets such as gold.
