Pakistan's LNG Prices Soar by Record Amount Amid Regional Uncertainty
Pakistan's Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has raised liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices by a record $6.45 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) for July.
The LNG sale price on the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) system has risen to $25.83 per MMBtu, while the price on the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) system has reached $25.80 per MMBtu.
The sharp increase comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, which have affected LNG procurement costs and global energy markets.
