PAT Copper Discovery Extends to 5.5km Target Corridor in Zambia
Patriot Resources (ASX:PAT) has announced two new drill targets on its copper discovery in Zambia, extending the target corridor to 5.5km.
The discovery is approximately 18km from the Kitumba deposit being developed by Chinese conglomerate Sinomine, which recently raised $760M for African resources assets and has a personal connection with PAT.
Copper demand is expected to surge due to the construction of AI data centres, with copper carrying electricity and silver helping carry signals in AI hardware.
PAT's new discovery may not be an isolated pocket of copper but could be part of a bigger structure, following a precedent set by the Mumbwa Fault Zone which hosts Sinomine's Kitumba asset weighing in at ~109.2Mt at 0.96% copper.
