The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) have formed a partnership to increase oil output in Nigeria.

The two entities aim to raise crude oil production to 3 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2030, as well as gas output to 12 billion cubic feet (bcf) daily.

PENGASSAN's new President, Mr. Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro, met with the NUPRC Chief Executive, Mrs Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, at the commission's headquarters in Abuja. The meeting marked a commitment from both sides to collaborate on achieving the Federal Government's production ambitions.

Olabiyi-Agoro emphasized that cooperation between PENGASSAN and NUPRC is crucial for reaching the 3 million bpd target by 2030, warning that worker rights would not be compromised in the process.
