PENGASSAN and NUPRC Unite to Boost Nigeria's Oil Production
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has joined forces with the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) to boost Nigeria's crude oil production.
According to a recent meeting between PENGASSAN's new President, Mr. Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro, and NUPRC Chief Executive, Mrs Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, the two organizations aim to raise oil output to 3 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2030.
The target also includes increasing gas production to 12 billion cubic feet (bcf) daily by 2030. Both parties acknowledged that industrial stability and collaboration with workers are crucial for achieving this goal.
Mr. Olabiyi-Agoro emphasized that the union is committed to supporting the government's target, but warned that cooperation would not compromise workers' rights.
