Pennsylvania Gas Prices Soar as Crude Oil Costs Rise Again
Gas prices in Pennsylvania have seen a significant increase over the past week. The average cost of a gallon of gas has risen by 23 cents to $4.537, according to AAA.
In the Pittsburgh area, the average price is even higher at $4.55 per gallon, up from $4.35 just last week.
The main reason behind this surge in gas prices is the recent increase in the cost of crude oil. Volatility in the Strait of Hormuz has pushed the price of crude oil back into the $100 per barrel range for the first time since July.
