Permian Producers Poised for Gains as Oil Prices Soar Above $80
Oil prices have surpassed $80 per barrel due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East. The high commodity prices are supporting exploration and production activities, particularly for upstream players operating in the Permian basin.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) projects that West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude will trade at $80.88 per barrel this year, higher than last year's price of $65.40.
Permian producers are poised to gain from the high oil prices. Diamondback Energy (FANG), ExxonMobil Holdings Corporation (XOM), and Chevron Corporation (CVX) have a strong presence in the Permian basin and are likely to benefit from the favorable pricing environment.
