Peru's Oil Production Posts Slight Recovery Amid Year-Over-Year Decline
Peru's oil production saw a slight increase in July 2026, reaching 36,930 barrels per day (BPD), according to official figures from Perupetro. This is up from June but still 23% below the level recorded in July last year.
The highest-producing blocks were Lot 95 in the Loreto region with 10,658 BPD, followed by Lot X in the Piura region with 8,233 BPD and Lot Z-69 also in Piura with 2,954 BPD. However, some lots saw no production during this period.
Natural gas production increased slightly from 1,551 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) in June to 1,554 MMCFD in July 2026, representing a 9.6% increase compared with July last year.
