Peter Abdo Named New CEO of Grain LNG
Grain LNG, a UK-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, has appointed Peter Abdo as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr. Abdo will take over on October 1, 2026, and brings extensive experience in the global LNG market. He previously led Uniper's global LNG activities, including trading, origination, and shipping.
In his new role, Mr. Abdo aims to build on Grain LNG's strong foundations and continue delivering high safety standards. He also plans to diversify the terminal's capabilities to serve customers across the value chain. Martin Scargill, Grain LNG board chair and Centrica managing director for gas infrastructure, praised Mr. Abdo's commercial expertise and strategic perspective.
Current Managing Director Simon Culkin will step down on August 14 and be replaced by Richard Ozsanlav as interim CEO until September 30. The company thanked Mr. Culkin for his invaluable contributions to Grain LNG during his tenure.
