Petrobras and Seatrium Eye Asian Gas Market with Potential Tie-Up

Petrobras and Seatrium are exploring a potential collaboration to meet growing natural gas demand in Asia, particularly from Brazil.

Brazilian oil giant Petrobras CEO Magda Chambriard said she is discussing with Seatrium CEO Chris Ong how their company can support Petrobras in liquefying gas offshore and exporting it to Asia and other markets.

Ong noted that the liquefied natural gas market is a key focus area for Seatrium, which is also pursuing opportunities in floating liquefied natural gas platforms (FLNG) and floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs).
