Petrobras Locks in 20-Year LNG Supply Deal with US Firm Sempra Infrastructure
Petrobras has secured a long-term supply of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) through a 20-year agreement with Sempra Infrastructure, a US company. The deal, signed in late August, will provide Petrobras with 0.8 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG from the Port Arthur LNG Liquefaction Terminal in Texas.
The agreement helps reduce Petrobras' exposure to spot market volatility and strengthens its natural gas portfolio risk management. By securing long-term volumes, Petrobras can fulfill its contracts with greater flexibility and security.
