Petrobras Posts Record-Beating Earnings on Rising Oil Output
Petrobras reported its second-best quarterly financial results in history after net income rose 97% to BRL52.4 billion ($10.2 billion) in Q2 2026.
The Brazilian state-owned energy company's operating performance was boosted by records in oil production and refining park utilisation, which reached 101%.
Oil production increased by 15% year-over-year to 2.7 million barrels per day, while exports grew to almost one million barrels per day.
Petrobras' Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer, Fernando Melgarejo, said the company's records led to 'one of the highest quarterly financial results in Petrobras' history.'
