Petrobras Sets New Oil and Gas Production Record in Second Quarter
Petrobras reported that its oil and gas production reached a record high of 3.34 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in the second quarter of 2026, up 14.1 percent from the same period last year and 3.4 percent higher than in the first quarter.
The increase was driven by improved efficiency at several key production units, including the Maria Quitéria floating production unit in the Jubarte field and the Alexandre de Gusmão and P-78 units in the Mero field.
The company also reported that ten new producing wells began operation during the quarter, with four located in the Campos Basin and six in the Santos Basin.
