Petrogas Shipping Embraces Liquefied Natural Gas in Fleet Overhaul
Petrogas Shipping Company is set to implement liquefied natural gas (LNG) in its fleet, positioning it as a leader in Spain's use of this fuel type. According to CEO Miguel Benarroch, the implementation of LNG is an 'interesting project' for DISA.
The company will participate both as a supplier and user of LNG, with two phases of supply: using tankers or dual-purpose barges (LNG and fuel) or exclusive barges, which is already a trend internationally.
Benarroch praised the involvement of the company's chief engineer, José Rull Cullen, in the project. He noted that LNG installation is being considered for both current fleet ships and new construction projects, taking into account its benefits for operation and the environment.
