PETROJET Signs $22.7 Million Contract for Jordan Gas Pipeline
PETROJET, Egypt's state-owned Petroleum Projects and Technical Consultations Company, has signed a $22.7 million contract to connect Jordan's Muwaqqar Industrial Development Area to the natural gas network.
The project involves designing, supplying, and constructing a 22-kilometer pipeline that will link the industrial area to the Arab Gas Pipeline, including gas pressure reduction and metering stations.
The contract was signed between Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Jordan's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Waleed Lotfy, Chairman of PETROJET, as part of energy cooperation between Egypt and Jordan.
The project is part of a larger $70 million program to supply natural gas to two industrial cities in Jordan, with financing provided by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD).
