Petrol Prices Fall at Abuja Filling Stations Amid Market Adjustments
The downstream petroleum market in Abuja has seen a reduction in petrol prices at several filling stations. MRS and AA Rano stations have lowered their prices, with MRS reducing its pump rate by ₦40 to ₦1,265 per litre. AA Rano also cut its price by ₦30 to ₦1,300 per litre.
This adjustment follows nearly two weeks of increases tied to global crude oil price volatility. The new retail prices at these stations now range between ₦1,265 and ₦1,300 per litre.
The reduction in petrol prices comes as Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced it would distribute free petrol to at least five states, including the Federal Capital Territory, with a fixed gantry price of ₦1,215 per litre.
