Petronas and Japan Strengthen LNG Partnership
Petronas LNG Ltd (PLL) has strengthened its collaboration with Japan's Jogmec through a Master Sales and Purchase Agreement (MSPA). The agreement aims to safeguard Japan's energy security while respecting Malaysia's domestic supply needs.
The Japan Organisation for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC) is a Japanese government agency operating under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), with responsibilities that include implementing Japan's energy and natural resources policies.
According to METI Minister Akazawa Ryosei, the agreement will help ensure Japan's stable supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
