PETRONAS and METLEN Seal Long-Term LNG Supply Deal for Greece
PETRONAS and METLEN have inked a long-term agreement to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Greece, strengthening energy security and diversification in Southeast Europe. The deal will see PETRONAS' subsidiary PTUK deliver six LNG cargoes per year from its Atlantic portfolio over five years, starting in 2027.
The agreement is expected to contribute significantly to METLEN's strategy of diversifying LNG supply sources, enhancing flexibility and resilience in procurement. It also reinforces Greece's position as a strategic regional energy hub.
PETRONAS' executive vice president and CEO of Gas and Maritime Business, Datuk Adif Zulkifli, said, 'This agreement with METLEN underscores PETRONAS’ commitment to delivering reliable and flexible LNG solutions that support our customers’ evolving energy needs.'
