PETRONAS and METLEN Strike Five-Year LNG Supply Deal with Greece
METLEN and PETRONAS have entered into a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) for the long-term supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Greece. Under this agreement, PETRONAS' subsidiary PTUK will deliver six LNG cargoes per year from its Atlantic portfolio, amounting to approximately 0.6 billion m3/y over five years commencing in 2027.
The deal strengthens METLEN's Energy Sector Utility strategy by diversifying its LNG supply sources and enhancing flexibility and resilience in procurement. It also contributes to the security of supply in Greece and the wider Southeast European region, reinforcing Greece's position as a strategic regional energy hub.
PETRONAS' commitment to delivering reliable and flexible LNG solutions is underscored by this agreement with METLEN. As markets navigate energy security, affordability, and transition priorities, PETRONAS remains focused on creating value through its global LNG portfolio, trading capabilities, and trusted partnerships.
