PETRONAS Locks in LNG Deal with Japanese Utility Firm
PETRONAS has renewed its agreement to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Japanese electric power utility Hokuriku Electric Power Company.
The deal, signed on July 14 and set to begin in 2028, will see PETRONAS sell up to 0.54 million tonnes of LNG annually for 10 years.
This marks the continuation of a partnership that began in 2018, with PETRONAS having been Hokuriku Electric's sole supplier since then.
PETRONAS has expressed its commitment to delivering reliable LNG supply and supporting Hokuriku Electric's energy security and transition journey.
