PetroTal Posts Strong Q2 2026 Financials, Advances Drilling Plans
PetroTal Corp., an oil and gas company operating in Peru, reported its financial and operational results for Q2 2026. The company produced an average of 12,557 barrels of oil per day (bopd) in the quarter, slightly ahead of internal plan. PetroTal's production for the first six months of 2026 averaged 13,726 bopd, which is 3% above budget expectations.
The company reported adjusted EBITDA of $43.5 million and free funds flow of $32.4 million in Q2 2026. PetroTal's net income for the quarter was $4.8 million, with a net impairment charge of $10.2 million related to the sale of the Amazonia-1 drilling rig.
PetroTal is advancing preparations for its H2 2026 development drilling campaign, which remains on track to begin in October. The company has contracted an Estrella drilling rig and construction of the L2E platform is 78% complete as of July 21.
