Petrus Resources Sees 92% Surge in Operating Netback for Q2 2026
Petrus Resources Ltd., an oil and gas company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PRQ, has announced its financial and operating results for the second quarter of 2026.
The highlights include a 92% increase in operating netback to $24.9 million ($24.73/boe) compared to the prior year comparative period, primarily due to higher oil production and stronger prices.
Average production for the second quarter was 11,070 boe/d, an increase of 21% from the prior year comparable period and 10% from the first quarter of 2026. However, production was impacted by a planned third-party facility turnaround in Harmattan during April and May.
In June, production averaged approximately 12,000 boe/d, representing the highest monthly production in Petrus' history. Oil and condensate production increased 61% to 1,998 bbl/d from 1,243 bbl/d in the second quarter of 2025.
