PNT Starts Copper Foil Mass Production in China After Four Years
PNT has initiated mass production of copper foil in China after four years of entering the business. The company's subsidiary, Shaanxi Advanced Materials Science and Technology, started producing at a line with an annual capacity of 15,000 tons in May at its plant in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province.
The equipment used for production was manufactured by PNT itself and can produce electrolytic copper foil as thin as 3.5 micrometers. Electrolytic copper foil is a crucial material used as a current collector for battery anodes.
PNT aims to expand its business from equipment supply to materials production, creating synergies with its existing copper foil manufacturing equipment business. The company's official stated that they plan to 'expand our copper foil production capacity in stages' and have already secured customers for their products.
