Power LNG and Éestas Partner on Port of Galveston LNG Development
Power LNG and Énestas have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure at the Port of Galveston in Texas. The agreement will enable Power LNG to begin LNG distribution by truck immediately, while Project Seawolf, its planned LNG liquefaction and marine bunkering facility, is under construction.
The partnership will support marine fuelling, virtual pipeline customers, industrial users, and LNG exports throughout the Gulf Coast, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Power LNG's CEO, Austin Terry, stated that Énestas brings operational experience, proven LNG infrastructure, and a talented team to deliver LNG safely and efficiently.
For Énestas, this transaction represents an important milestone in their international growth strategy. Caio Zapata, CEO of Énestas, added that the partnership will allow them to leverage their experience in one of the most attractive LNG markets in North America, with opportunities in marine bunkering, virtual pipeline logistics, industrial LNG supply, and exports.
