Powerus Lands $22.3 Million Contract for Counter-Drone Protection in Middle East
Powerus, an American company based in West Palm Beach, Florida, has secured a commercial contract worth $22.3 million to provide networked counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) detection and tracking capabilities to protect critical oil and gas infrastructure in the Middle East.
The agreement covers hardware, software, site activation, installation, and a 24-month integrated maintenance program for the C-UAS detection and tracking capability. The system architecture is designed to support the further integration of Powerus' Guardian interceptor technology as operational requirements evolve.
Brett Velicovich, Co-founder and President of Powerus, stated that this commercial contract reflects the direction the counter-drone market is heading towards integrated networked protection of critical oil and gas infrastructure.
