Precious Metals Prices Plummet at NYMEX on August 31

The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) reported a decline in precious metals prices on August 31. The price of gold futures decreased by 1.05% to $4431.10, while silver futures fell by 0.94% to $66.37.

Platinum futures also saw a decrease, down by 1.43% to $1807.30. The measurements are based on the troy ounce unit (31.1 grams).

The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and operates two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division.
