Precious Metals Prices Rise at NYMEX
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX), a US futures market established in 1882, has reported an increase in precious metals prices. On August 14, gold futures saw a rise of 1.37% to $4373.90 per troy ounce, while silver futures increased by 0.18% to $64.99. Platinum futures also showed a notable gain of 2.37% to $1756.80.
The NYMEX operates two divisions: the NYMEX Division, which handles trades for oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions; and the COMEX Division, responsible for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum trades.
