Precious Metals Prices Surge at NYMEX on September 2
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has reported an increase in precious metals prices. On September 2, gold futures rose by 3.12% to $4426.30 per troy ounce, while silver futures increased by 3.47% to $65.56 per troy ounce. Platinum futures also saw a growth of 2.96% to $1783.30.
NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and operates through its two divisions: the NYMEX Division for oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions; and the COMEX Division for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
