Precious Metals Prices Up at NYMEX
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) reported that prices for precious metals are up on August 21. According to NYMEX, the price of gold futures increased by 2.39% to $4,624.10 per troy ounce, while silver futures rose by 2.12% to $69.47. Platinum futures also saw an increase, rising by 0.86% to $1,895.70.
The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and operates two divisions: the NYMEX Division for oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions, and the COMEX Division for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
