Prince Albert Gas Prices Set to Skyrocket Amid Global Oil Supply Disruptions

Global oil supplies are under pressure due to several disruptions and uncertainties, including attacks on Saudi Arabian oil infrastructure and escalating conflicts near the Strait of Hormuz.

These events have pushed up gasoline prices in Prince Albert, with diesel prices already being affected by Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries and a recent refinery outage in the United States that supplies fuel to Canada's market.

'That refinery lost power, regained it a few hours later, but even a multi-hour impact can be something that restrains a refinery for several days before that refinery is able to start the restart process and restore refining rates,' said De Haan.

Diesel prices in Prince Albert are currently ranging from approximately $2.09 to $2.47 a litre, while gas prices have been temporarily spared due to stations still having fuel purchased at earlier wholesale prices.
