Producer Price Index Posts 0.6% Monthly Increase in June
The Producer Price Index (PPI) for Industries rose 0.6% in June 2026, according to data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). The index has accumulated an 8.8% increase through the first six months of the year.
Mining was the sector with the greatest influence on the monthly result, posting a 0.8% rise and contributing 0.448 percentage points to the overall index. Copper was the product with the largest positive impact, rising 1.1% and contributing 0.620 percentage points.
The Manufacturing Producer Price Index (IPPMan) rose 0.3% month-over-month, accumulating a 5.1% increase through June. The class with the strongest positive influence in manufacturing was the manufacture of fertilizers and nitrogen compounds, which jumped 7.8% and contributed 0.272 percentage points.
