Prospera Energy Reports Record Revenue and Operating Netback in Q2 2026
Prospera Energy Inc., a Calgary-based company, reported its strongest quarter in recent history, driven by a surge in sales revenue and operating netback. In Q2 2026, the company generated $6.2 million in sales revenue, the highest quarterly total in five years, up 37% from Q1 2026. The increase was due to a 31% rise in realized prices and a 3% increase in volumes.
The company's operating netback reached $2.0 million or $29.65/boe, nearly tripling Q1 2026 levels. This was largely driven by higher production from reactivated wells, stronger pricing, and flat operating costs. Field operating costs per boe fell 5% quarter over quarter.
The company's Reactivation Template at Scale has proven effective, with wells brought online under the program continuing to grow production without service rig intervention or flush-by activity. More than 140 reactivation candidates remain in inventory, providing a multi-year growth runway across the Corporation's 379 million barrels of original oil in place.
Prospera enters the second half of 2026 with three advantages working in concert: sustained higher prices, a proven reactivation template, and a cost structure that has been demonstrated to hold flat as volumes grow. If recent price levels hold, the company expects operating netbacks to remain and grow meaningfully above the Q2 average.
