PTT Sees Record Profit, Prepares for Global Energy Volatility
Thai energy giant PTT reported a significant increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, reaching 78.263 billion baht, up 74% from the same period last year.
The company attributed its stronger performance to growth in upstream, refining, petrochemical, and trading businesses.
PTT President and CEO Kongkrapan Intarajang emphasized that global energy markets are becoming increasingly unpredictable due to factors such as government policies, decisions by world leaders, and ongoing instability in the Middle East.
To mitigate these risks, PTT has diversified its crude oil sources and maintained a broad network of international business partners.
