Pumpco Wins $1.2 Billion Contract for Argentina LNG Pipeline
A consortium led by U.S. pipeline builder Pumpco has won the construction tender for Argentina LNG, a large-scale liquefied natural gas export project.
The roughly $1.2 billion package covers two parallel lines running about 327 miles from Vaca Muerta in Neuquén to the Sierra Grande area on Río Negro's Atlantic coast.
The planned system includes a 48-inch natural gas line and a 24-inch line for natural gas liquids, connecting production areas with the export hub near Sierra Grande.
The construction award remains conditional on a final investment decision by Argentina's YPF, Italy's Eni, and XRG, the international energy investment arm of Abu Dhabi's ADNOC.
