PV Gas Exceeds Profit Target Amid Global Energy Market Volatility
PV Gas has exceeded its profit target for the first six months of the year, despite the volatile global energy market. The company's consolidated revenue reached over 82 trillion VND, pre-tax profit was over 11.2 trillion VND, and after-tax profit was over 9 trillion VND.
The results reflect PV Gas's ability to maintain growth and its crucial role in ensuring national energy security. The company's employees have excelled in fulfilling their leading role in Vietnam's gas industry, despite the challenges posed by the conflict in the Middle East.
PV Gas aims for revenue of 142 trillion VND, pre-tax profit of nearly 11.3 trillion VND, and after-tax profit of over 9 trillion VND for the year. The company is focusing intensely on achieving its targets for the second half of 2026, but faces numerous challenges, including fluctuating oil prices, declining gas consumption demand during the rainy season, and slower-than-expected international business recovery.
To meet these challenges, PV Gas is proactively diversifying its LPG/LNG supply sources, strengthening cooperation with international partners, and optimizing import strategies. The company continues to invest in key projects, including the Vung Ang LNG Terminal and the Su Tu Trang gas gathering and transportation pipeline, to expand its infrastructure capacity and enhance its resilience to market fluctuations.
PV Gas is also promoting digital transformation, governance innovation, and organizational restructuring to improve operational efficiency and risk management capabilities. The company aims to achieve its 2026 business targets while continuing to develop a modern gas and LNG ecosystem, enhancing its regional position, and contributing to national energy security.
