PX Group Wins Operations Contract for Caribbean LNG Terminal
New Providence Gas (NPG), a joint venture between Shell Bahamas Power Company and Sun Oil, has chosen PX Group to handle operations and maintenance at its Caribbean LNG terminal. The appointment is part of NPG's project to develop an LNG import and regasification terminal at Clifton Pier in New Providence, The Bahamas.
The multi-year agreement covers commissioning, operational readiness, and long-term operations and maintenance at the facility. PX Group has been expanding its presence in the Americas and sees this appointment as a strategically important addition to their portfolio.
According to Geoff Holmes, CEO of PX Group, 'This appointment represents an important step in PX Group's continued growth across the Americas.' The company will be responsible for preparing the facility, its systems, and operating organization for safe and reliable service before start-up.
Dexter Adderley, President and CEO of FOCOL Holdings, highlighted that the strength of the project will be measured by how safely, reliably, and consistently the terminal operates. PX Group brings the experience required to help carry the facility from commissioning into long-term operation.
