Qalibaf Fires Back at CENTCOM: 'No Oil Will Be Sold Without Our Security'

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf responded to claims by CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper that US forces are helping ships carry nearly 750 million barrels of crude oil towards global markets. Qalibaf reposted his earlier message on X, stating 'In a region where we do not sell oil, no one will sell oil.'

Admiral Cooper's claim contradicts Iran's assertion that it has exported no oil from its shores since the US resumed its naval blockade in mid-July. Qalibaf emphasized that Tehran has repeatedly stated the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will not return to what it was before the war.

Qalibaf added, 'If our security is not ensured, no infrastructure will be safe, and security in the Strait is ensured in the absence of US forces.'
