Qalibaf Threatens Reciprocal Strikes Against US Interests
In a warning to the US government, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohamad Bagher Qalibaf stated that any strike on Iranian oil and gas assets would be met with reciprocal attacks on American interests.
Qalibaf emphasized that the oil and gas production chain in Iran is 'sprawling, accessible, and exposed,' making it vulnerable to attack. He warned American companies operating in the region that they share this exposure and would face retaliation if US forces target Iranian assets.
This warning comes in response to threats made by US War Secretary Pete Hegseth, who claimed that Washington could destroy and sink Iranian oil tankers if Iran attacked US Navy ships.
